The Home Depot Rental operates in over 1100 locations of The Home Depot across the US and Canada, offering large towable equipment, tools, trucks and trailer rental along with on-site equipment delivery. The large equipment fleet includes trenchers, chippers, mini-excavators, skid steers, aerial work platform equipment, and tractor loader backhoes among others. We have a large team of highly trained technicians, shop techs, and VIP Delivery Technicians and customer care associates throughout the United States and Canada.


This position will encompass all aspects of the parts and service support team functions; including service call administration, parts assistance, warranty program administration, and technical support/training. As a member of the Parts and Service Support Team you will responsible for maintaining a strong and professional relationship with our internal Field Personnel as well as OEM Manufacturers/Vendors, always mindful of and representing our core values.

Primary Responsibilities

•Service Call Administration (opening, closing, modifying, invoicing, auditing).

•Champion the Warranty Program consisting of filing claims, defective part returns, payment reconciliation, reporting, auditing, and assisting with negotiations/settlements as needed

•Participate in scheduled meetings with OEMs on issues, open cases and warranty challenges.

•Conduct monthly service call audits to catch potential warranty opportunities and ensure proper technician summaries/write-ups.

•Assist in Parts Department operations such as order entry, tracking, look-up, and library maintenance.

•Work alongside warehouse to ensure proper inventory control, returns, and shipping/receiving.

•Help conduct quality assurance and issue trend reporting and data mining.

•Understand our BHAG and assist in achieving it through our 5-step process.

•Aid in the implementation of technology and new software/SOPs to gain efficiency in the department.

•Contribute to creation of internal service publications and procedure check list as required.

•Organize OEM sponsored and internal field (service/maintenance) and support staff (parts/office) technical training that reinforces company safety standards and equipment operational standards.

•Provide written and verbal feedback to RRM’s and DVP’s, on regional and individual technical growth opportunities, in a professional manor.

•Assist in product knowledge events and technical support calls from our VIP Call Center and end users.

•Proactively identify internal and customer training requirements and solutions.

•Assist with internal equipment management projects, both hands on and documentation.

•Research technical data as requested.

•Other responsibilities as directed by Senior Leadership Team.

•Travel 5% to THD locations within the U.S. and Canadian region
