Position Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

Senior Analysts are responsible for leading small to medium subsets of larger projects, initiatives and individual processes that bring value to The Home Depot Pro. They must possess a high level of analytical ability to distinguish multiple components of a problem and develop conclusions using quantitative skills. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring projects run effectively, effective communication to teams and other leaders, reviewing and understanding sales/financial data, identifying trends in business and the retail industry. A successful Senior Analyst will possess and demonstrate strong leadership skills, analytical ability, and communication.  

The Senior Analyst will play a major part in our marketing efforts from optimization, execution and ultimately driving the best ROI by helping us back our decisions with data. This position will manage the integrity and hygiene of the customer database, analyze and build customers segments and own database updates from multiple sources and internal systems. This role will be responsible reporting and benchmarking to identify insights and areas of optimization of paid media and email marketing communications. Ultimately these improvements will result in improved customer personalization, increased traffic and sales, and improved ROI. This position is based out of Jacksonville, FL or Atlanta, GA.


MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 20%-Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associates. 
  • 20%-Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization. 
  • 20%-Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. 
  • 20%-Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors. 
  • 20%-Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.

This position reports to the Director, PRO Online Creative and Content

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
ENVIRONMENT: 
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
TRAVEL: 
Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 years
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Master's Degree is preferred. (5 years of work experience is preferred)
  • Understanding of the basic principles of On and Offline Marketing
  • Experience with Web Analytics (Adobe, Google Analytics)
  • Experience with email database and Service Provider functionality
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SQL and database management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience leading high performing teams Consulting management and/or project management. 
  • Strong quantitative skills such as statistics and data analysis. 
  • Problem solving Strong Operations, Retail and/or field knowledge.
  • Database management experience with strong sense of data integrity and quality control
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, ability to evaluate alternatives and develop effective solutions
  • Experience using data to create actionable insights and impact stories for an executive audience including querying data, building dashboards with tools like Tableau, Excel and SQL
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and the ability to modify and join data from different sources
