Position Description:
  • The Technology Coordination Sr. Manager is responsible for driving alignment across multiple, high complexity, high visibility projects and for managing strategic vendor partnerships. Technology Coordination Sr. Managers are responsible for managing Technology Coordination Managers from an execution and professional development perspective. The Sr. Manager must exhibit the ability to lead managers and their teams and drive change management and process improvement.MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
    45% - Delivery & Execution:
    • Guides overarching program scoping and effectively manages scope across projects
    • Documents, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met
    • Monitors, tracks, and adjusts program plans based on critical milestones across projects
    • Conducts budget planning and manages budgets across projects
    • Conducts cost benefit analysis and justifies findings
    • Reconciles status updates across projects to account for and mitigate schedule, resource, cost issues, and risks
    • Accurately forecasts timelines, budget needs, and resource needs
    • For deployment related projects, manages maintenance of complex technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components
    • Makes suggestions that help drive operational excellence to create internal customer satisfaction and meet operational metrics40% - Strategy & Planning:
      • Partners with leadership to select and onboard strategic vendor partners based on the organization's strategic needs
      • Fosters and maintains strategic vendor relationships
      • Partners with leadership to negotiate pricing, SLAs, resource plans, etc.
      • Proactively manages, mitigates, and communicates vendor-related risks
      • Captures and drives issues to resolution
      • Contributes to and makes recommendations for strategic plans in support of key objectives in a timely and fiscally responsible manner
      • Supports and nurtures strategic vendor relationships; recommends ways to influence vendors that align to domain, portfolio, and enterprise strategic objectives15% - People:
        • Provides leadership, mentoring and coaching to Project Managers and Managers, Project Management
        • Attracts, retains, and develops top talent
        • Conducts annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback
        • Acts as a proponent of strategic project management practicesNATURE AND SCOPE
          • Typically reports to the Technology Director, Sr. Director or Vice President.ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
            • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Travel:
              • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
