Position Description:

Position Purpose:
The Technology Coordination Manager acts as the site leader for the Secure Solution Enablement (SSE) Team and is responsible for supporting Secure Solution Advisors with program management and SSE standardization activities.

 

Technology Coordination Managers typically support high complexity programs.  They are also responsible for managing, guiding, and developing more junior team members.

Above and beyond program management related tasks, the SSE Technology Coordination Manager plays a strategic role looking across SSE Teams with a focus on the identification of common roadblocks and collaborates with SSA’s to mitigate risk and standardize best practices.  In addition, the SSE TCM is responsible for managing the engagement of 3rd party vendors and the oversight of those relationships.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
40% – Delivery & Execution:

  • Executes project scoping and manages scope for medium to large complexity projects
  • Documents, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met
  • Creates, monitors, tracks, and adjusts project plans based on critical milestones
  • Conducts budget planning and manages budget
  • Completes toll gate artifacts (Charter, Business Acceptance Document, etc.)
  • Conducts cost benefit analysis and justification of findings
  • Develops and communicates status updates highlighting any potential issues, including schedule, resource, cost, and risks
  • Documents and applies lessons learned to subsequent projects
  • Manages Secure Solution Enablement schedule (Recurring program update meetings for each SSE team)
  • Coordinates with SSA’s to pull together necessary materials in preparation for regular SSE updates
  • Forecasts timelines, budget needs, and resource needs with accuracy
  • Regularly and actively contributes to alignment of activities across SSE teams
  • Understands organizational goals to apply to program work
  • Ensures all systems are updated on a standard cadence (e.g. financials) and that all project artifacts are created and posted to centralized repositories

    15% – Monitoring:

    • Identifies, defines, and mitigates program risks
    • Manages projects in adherence with The Home Depot’s compliance regulations
    • Captures and drives issues to resolution

      30% – Strategy & Planning:

      • Maintains vendor relationships
      • Partners with other leaders to make suggestions on pricing negotiations, SLAs, resource plans, etc.
      • Proactively manages, mitigates, and communicates vendor-related risks
      • Manages the purchase order and invoicing process with 3rd party vendors
      • Proactively plans for and identifies trends and common road blocks within and across projects
      • Collaborates with peers and Sr. Managers to create standards and processes that mitigate negative impact

        15% – People:

        • Provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Project Managers
        • Attracts, retains, and develops top talent
        • Conducts annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans
        • and providing performance feedback
        • Acts as a proponent of project management best practices
        • Facilitates the onboarding and ramp up of new project team members
          Nature and Scope:
          For Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City residents: The pay range for this position is between $100K and $150K. Starting salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive financial and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position

          Typically reports to the Technology Coordination Sr. Manager, Technology Director or Sr. Director.

          Environment:
          1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
          Travel:
          Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
