Position Purpose

Supports Corporate Communications and External Affairs (CCEA) team with their graphic design and visual communications needs.  Ability to comfortably partner with executive teams to support company-wide communications and projects.  Ability to create visual content that sharpens understanding of a business concept or strategy.  Enhance storytelling and help design effective communications and presentations.

Ideal candidate enjoys design, strategy, communications, and retail.

Preference to someone who has a solid understanding of the modern retail environment.  

Responsibilities include design solutions for digital signage, web collateral, presentations, and assets for internal communication channels. Role also includes asset management, freelance coordination, support for video production and management of deliverables.

• Manages the organization and maintenance of the graphic design files
• Collaborates with photographers to setup and manage project plans for photo shoots and to setup and maintain timelines and schedules.
• Work simultaneously on multiple projects on multiple timelines, managing work and expectations across teams as needed.
• Strong PowerPoint experience
• Exceptional knowledge of visual design and demonstrated proficiency in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity
• Ability to understand complex business strategy and simplify it for easy understanding
• Ability to clearly explain creative choices in meetings and reviews
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to effectively engage with a wide range of cross-functional business partners
• Demonstrates a high attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working both collaboratively and individually
• Comfortable working closely with high level executives

  Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  40% - Create overall layout and production design for ongoing and ad-hoc projects in support of team priorities, including collateral and signage, infographics, social and online assets, print collateral, presentations, etc.

  25% - Advise internal CCEA partners on creative strategy and guide visual concepts that inspire and inform respective audiences. Provide vendor and resource solutions for creative needs.

  20% - Manage projects and creative timelines, ensuring all deliverables are designed, proofed and delivered on time. Ensure the look and feel of the final product is consistent with The Home Depot and Home Depot Foundations message and brand. 

  10% - Serve as the CCEA design liaison to other departments

  5% - Maintain CCEAs digital asset library, including obtaining timely assets from internal partners on an ongoing basis, coordinating bi-annual refreshes, maintaining platform technology and accessibility, and ensuring relevant file formats.Nature and Scope:

  Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  Education Required - Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communication design, or similar discipline or equivalent work experience required
