Staples Technical Operations & Cloud Engineering Team provides resilient and efficient infrastructure for the business applications as well as associated critical support of these platforms. We continuously maximize our value through optimizing our efficiencies, expanding abilities, improving agility, and skillsets of the team to best support evolving business requirements. Technology Operations and Cloud Engineering (TOCE) is responsible for the Architecture, Engineering, and Operations of Staples core IT infrastructure, network, telephony, and collaboration platforms. Additionally, the team supports Staples eCommerce platforms and nearly 200 locations including corporate, sales offices, and supply chain facilities across North America as well as 1102 US Retail stores from a network and telephony perspective.



**What youll be doing:**



The Person in this role will be part of Network Engineering Team and reporting to Senior Manager Network Engineering. He will work closely with Network Architecture team to work on key initiatives, Projects and other POC capabilities. Also, will collaborate with Network Operations team to support any High Priority incidents impacting the business.



**What you bring to the table:**



+ Participate in design discussions with other Technical Leads, Network Security and Architects.

+ Review and implement infrastructure changes to enhance reliability, increase capability and ensure maximum availability of network infrastructure

+ Monitor network stability by modifying network infrastructure in response to application changes and ensuring the network complies with service level and licensing agreements

+ Lead performance, monitoring and documentation of relevant network segments to ensure data integrity

+ Install, configure and maintain network services, equipment and devices

+ Resolve complex technical issues by troubleshooting escalated network incidents, collaborating with IT key stakeholders, socializing best practices and providing recommendations for implementation strategy

+ Maintain operational strength of network services by contributing to capacity planning, resource management and performance enhancement activities

+ Collaborate and work with Managed Service Provider teams on Critical Changes and High Priority incidents as applicable.



**Qualifications :**



**Whats needed- Basic Qualifications**



+ 10+ years of experience with WAN, LAN Technologies Routing/Switching with significant experience in handling BGP/OSPF Routing protocols.

+ Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetworking Engineer (CCIE) preferred.

+ Working knowledge on Cisco ACI (or Arista) would be an added advantage. Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure Network Build. Software Defined Networking Technology.



**Whats needed- Preferred Qualifications**



+ Working knowledge on any Cloud Platform ( Azure, AWS )

+ Familiar with supporting technologies on the DevOps framework, such as CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins, etc.

+ Knowledge of key technologies: IaaS Management tools and technologies (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible), Public Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and datacenter management.

+ Working Knowledge of Wireless LAN infrastructure.
