Position Purpose:
Leads the development of operations process for new capability flows aligned with Supply Chain strategy and support for the stores and our customers.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Designs initiatives and develops strategies to increase the effectiveness of the logistics function.
- Reviews financial performance, safety issues and service levels to ensure optimal functioning of the Logistics function.
- Alleviates store problems related to the specific area in Logistics. Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff.
- Oversees all tactical operations of Logistic efforts related to a specific area in Logistics.
- Provide support and direction for area's efforts. Manage all aspects of assigned area's of operations and programs.
- Participate in strategic planning and facilitate action on these plans for the assigned area.
- Plan resources in order to complete competing priorities within the provided timeframe.
- Prepare project design and timelines.
- Select, develop, and motivate assigned staff.
Nature and Scope:- Typically reports to Supply Chain Management.
- May have Direct and indirect reports
- Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.
- Typically faces situations that have a variety of interpretations and require careful evaluation.
