Position Description:
Position Purpose:
The Sr. Manager Gift Card operations leads all efforts within the gift card team to manage the sale of Home Depot and 3rd party gift cards through THD stores. This includes orchestrating THD gift card production, negotiating with key vendors, planning in-store merchandising, overseeing the in-store transaction process (e.g., SKU setup, transaction rules, etc.), planning and implementing fraud prevention measures, and providing post-sale customer support. In addition to these tasks, the role is responsible for overseeing the fulfillment of merchant or Store Ops driven rebates. Current examples include Menards 11% Rebate and HVAC rebates. Lastly the role has responsibility for driving innovation in within gift cards to grow gift card sales, reduce operating costs and to utilize the gift card transaction rails to create “stored-value” capabilities that can improve the customer experience or enable new promotion or transaction capabilities for merchants or Store Operations.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- 40% Manage key vendor relationships focused on: a) the production and fulfillment of gift cards and THD store credits, b) the sale of 3rd party gift cards in Home Depot stores
- Includes negotiation and execution of associated vendor contracts
- 20% Oversee all aspects of the gift card (THD and 3rd party gift cards) sales process in our stores: physical merchandising, transaction processing, and post-sale customer support
- 10% Oversee the rebate process (administered by Hawk) for rebates tied to Menards 11% Rebate along with any other rebates offered by THD merchants
- 20% Develop business case for and drive execution of new initiatives. These could include new gift card sales and transaction channels, how we enable the saving of gift cards in digital form, or the use of the gift card transaction rails for “saved value” purchases
- 10% Proactively develop team members to enable personal growth and provide continuity of required skills across organization
