Position Description:


We’re looking for someone who can lead IDM Optimization and Cross Functional improvement projects on the IDM Operations team. Suppliers cannot sell items in any THD channel if the items are not in the Enterprise IDM tool, the IDM Operations team plays a critical role in working with Suppliers and THD teams to effectively and quickly on-board and update items. The Sr. IDM Operations Analyst would be:

  • Partnering with numerous cross functional teams to manage interconnected and Enterprise projects
  • Engaging with the IDM PM teams to enhance system intuitiveness, address defects, and to conduct testing
  • Independently identifying IDM Ops optimization opportunities (such as RPA solutioning)
  • Servings as the subject matter expert to resolve complex issues

    • Serves as a subject matter expert and performs research and/or root cause analysis to identify and resolve IDM support related issues and themes. Research and address management escalations completely and timely. Ensure the Level 1 support team is responding to supplier issues received via the supplier hotline, chats, and tickets timely, completely, correctly, and professionally. Identify and address training gaps.
    • Plan and lead all phases of a projects lifecycle; this includes the proactive identification of business process optimization opportunities, prioritization, definition, and implementation and testing of project deliverables. Keeps projects on-task and within expectations of project timelines. Ensures deliverables and goals for area of responsibility are met or exceeded. Develops and executes ongoing enhancement/optimization based on measured performance and customer feedback.
    • Primary contact for internal The Home Depot teams concerning Enterprise or departmental projects or initiatives that require IDM Ops assistance. Determines scope; identifies and communicates Ops role and responsibilities. Actively participates in project meetings and presents updates to leadership and teams as needed. Ensures Ops project deliverables and goals are met or exceeded. 
    • Authors and facilitates clear, concise end user training on IDM processes, system features, and enhancements. Develops and maintains day-to-day relationships with internal and external partners to support IDM initiatives.


      • Represents the Merchandising function in business process evaluation, procedural development, systems requirements definition and systems functional design. 
      • Project/Initiative Management--Partners with senior and department management and cross-functional teams in determining and defining business need/requirements; project plans, risk assessments, communication, implementation, training and change management 
      • Manages the business and project team expectations including addressing project issues, changes; May directly supervise staff members in the development, implementation and support of applications and business processes to meet the client's business requirements. 
      • Driving the requirements gathering efforts for a project (either development or implementation), including managing the expectations of the project manager, the stakeholders, the project team and executive management. 
      • Proposing alternatives and solutions to requirements management for each project that most closely aligns with the specific timetables, objectives and business issues at hand. 
      • Consulting with cross-functional managers, project managers, management and customers to ensure that all projects undertaken adequately address requirement related issues. Understanding the business case behind all projects, including the motivating factors for all stakeholders. Working with the Business Manager to analyze all potential opportunities to enhance, improve and refine the requirements gathering processes. 
      • Establishes and reports on metrics of assigned projects to gauge business value (ROI).; Audits and evaluates implemented projects (systems/processes, for example) to support continuous improvement opportunities.

        Typically reports to IDM User Support Manager
        No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).
