Position Description:
The Senior EEO Manager leads a team of 4-6 EEO Managers in all aspects of the Company's defense against EEO charges of discrimination filed with government regulatory agencies, such as the EEOC, DOL Wage & Hour and OSHA for over 600 geographically diverse retail and supply chain locations. The Senior Manager ensures that investigations and responses to EEO charges of discrimination, as well as witness and document preparation are timely and thorough.

  • 10% Supervising team of EEO Managers in their daily activities while providing oversight and overall case management of EEO charges and taking the lead on more complex cases that are an increased risk for the Company. 
  • 10% Ensuring that EEO Managers effectively handle all assigned cases in a timely and thorough manner, while maintaining adherence to all company policies, procedures and legal requirements. 
  • 30% Prepares timely/effective responses to discrimination complaints, evidentiary documents andcorrespendence, in partnership with legal and HR leaders to limit information produced while demonstrating good faith effott to comply with agency requests. 
  • 20% Serves as company rep designated to advocate/persuade regulatory agency including managing mediations, hearings, fact finding conferences and on-site audits 
  • 10% Identifies EEO trends within their assigned division or specific area of support, works with EEO Managers to communicate trends and provides feedback and training guidance accordingly 
  • 10% Develops training for approval by the EEOC and other regulatory agencies as part of a conciliation or consent decree; also may co- lead training with field RARM on EEO related matters as part 
  • 10% Build and maintain effective relationships with SSC HR, field HR, and operations leadersNATURE AND SCOPE
    • Position reports to the Director of Associate relations 
    • Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others.
    • Planning, monitoring and reviewing the work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development.ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
      Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
      Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
