Position Description:
As part of the Pro Customer Experience team, this individual will ensure that we maximize efficiency and capitalize on the full features and benefits of Salesforce.com within the Pro organization based on the various user group needs. We are seeking someone with excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs in order to administer and enhance the system accordingly. This person will serve as the "go to" for users, promote adoption, provide training, and keep current on Salesforce.com product offerings. Additionally, he/she will perform basic updates, add/delete users, add basic custom fields and/or reports.

A system administrator needs a solid understanding of the organization’s business. They must have solid Salesforce.com skills and ideally, understand the general concepts of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Most importantly, they should be proactive, organized, logical and able to work directed with the field organization. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Maintain user roles and system access, ensure security and integrity
  • Develop materials and conduct training, assist with user issues, monitor adoption and overall user satisfaction
  • Create, develop and maintain dashboards and various end user reports
  • Create, configure and manage changes to the system
  • Document key processes and maintain updates
  • Understand Salesforce.com product roadmap, upcoming releases and planned future enhancements


  • 20%-Administer system settings/configurations/workflows, execute change management initiatives and enhance user experience
  • 20%-Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization.
  • 20%-Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize.
  • 20%-Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors.
  • 20%-Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.
This position reports to Sr Manager or Manager Customer Execution
This position has no direct reports


Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of Salesforce.com administration experience; Salesforce.com Administrator certification is desired
  • Previous experience updating an existing Salesforce.com configuration to provide solutions for reporting, workflows and enhanced functions
  • Strong reporting background using standard reporting tools including standard salesforce.com reporting functionality
  • Strong problem solving skills, data analysis and/or business requirements definition is desired
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and work directly with field sales organization
  • Minimum Bachelors degree OR equivalent education/experience
  • Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications Word, Excel and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Experience leading high performing teams Consulting management and/or project management.
  • Strong quantitative skills such as statistics and data analysis.
  • Problem solving Strong Operations, Retail and/or field knowledge.
