**Job Summary**

Special Events Support (Conference Rooms) work is to provide space configuration and audio/visual support for a conference center.

+ Set up tables and chairs in specific meeting configurations to accommodate 20 to 200 participants

+ Set-up and maintain audio/visual equipment in each conference room

+ Coordinate with the Customer Service Center to plan schedule of meetings and room configurations

+ Support functions planned by the Special Events Coordinator

+ Assist meeting participants with requests for additional service before, during or after a meeting

+ Immediately report any maintenance concerns to the Customer Service Center for notification to the appropriate service provider

+ Ensure rooms are tidy and ready for next use, removing all trash and any materials left behind

+ Receive and post schedules for all compound conference rooms daily

**Minimum Requirements**

+ High school diploma or GED

+ One (1) year recent experience working in customer service or administrative support is desirable

+ Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and Lotus Notes)

+ Shall possess TS/SCI with poly

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Knowledge of IC regulations, policies, practices and procedures

+ Knowledge of MS Office products

+ Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team and customers

+ Good oral and written communication skills sufficient to respond to customers’ routine questions in a clear and concise manner

+ Ability to set-up and troubleshoot various audio and visual products: podiums, microphones, projectors and drop-down screens, lights and speakers, etc.

+ Ability to perform light lifting (<25 lbs)

+ Ability to manage own activities and workflow under tight deadlines

+ Ability to apply a strong customer focus orientation to understand customer requirements, suggest and implement solutions

+ Ability to ensure management, co-workers, customers and stakeholders are kept informed

+ Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities that may require overtime or extended hours
