POSITION PURPOSE

Our Enterprise Leadership Development team helps develop confident, competent, orange-blooded leaders who can effectively take care of their associates. We have a strong team of instructional designers who are focused on the goal of developing our leaders, and we’re looking to add to the team.

That’s where you come in! This Sr. Instructional Designer will help design, develop, and implement cutting-edge, experiential leadership development programs that build enterprise leadership capabilities throughout the leadership lifecycle. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team that creates learning to build knowledge and, more importantly, change the way our leaders think.

  • You are passionate about leadership development and have a strong background in instructional design, leadership, talent development, or psychology.
  • You have a track record of finding innovative approaches to develop people – particularly leaders, creating learning solutions that use new approaches, and sharing industry trends with others.
  • You have experience working on multiple complex projects simultaneously and creating deliverables for all phases of the course creation lifecycle, including analysis documents, design documents, storyboards, and final learning deliverables.
  • You are self-driven, collaborative, resourceful, and excellent at project management.
  • You have experience with vertical development, coaching and mentoring other Instructional Designers, or leading a team.
  • You are comfortable taking risks, prioritizing work based on business needs, communicating new ideas to a variety of audiences, being a trusted consultant and partner, and propelling current thinking about leader development to the next level.
  • You have excellent communication skills and you’re comfortable communicating through technology (Adobe Connect, Microsoft Teams, Webex, etc.).

    MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
    40% - Design and develop leadership solutions, including eLearning, instructor-led training, action learning, blended learning, etc.
    20% - Collaborate with Learning Strategy Senior Managers and subject matter experts during the analysis phase and throughout the project. 
    10% - Coach and mentor Instructional Designers, including assisting with onboarding for new Instructional Designers, reviewing work, and facilitating development on current and emerging learning methods.
    10% - Work with standard development tools and software (Articulate Storyline, PowerPoint, etc.).
    10% - Communicate with project team members and effectively manage individual and group projects. 
    10% - Work on creative and innovative ways to develop leaders.

    ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
    Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
