Position Description:
Position Purpose

Senior Analyst in Labor Forecasting will support the identification and tracking of labor hours, while utilizing data to visualize and inform specific areas of potential improvement or outliers. They will also utilize technical abilities to analyze and understand complex datasets and summarize into more easily understood output to drive business decisions. They will work with other Senior Analysts and business partners to leverage technical skillset and create or enhance current reporting so as to ensure a consistent and favorable customer experience.

  • 40% Lead analyses, typically of moderate to high complexity, of Home Depot’s hourly payroll and related business data and processes with emphasis on identifying trends, determining root cause of problems and determining solutions to manage them and that drive effective business decisions.
  • 20% Coordinate the design, development and implementation of analytical tools, technology and business solutions that improve Labor and business decisions and that drive productivity in stores.
  • 20% Coordinate the design and development of dashboards, reports, presentations and visual aids designed to educate, inform and influence the decisions of Labor clients and business leaders within Home Depot.
  • 20% Identify new and different ways of providing business insight with enhanced technical capabilities and finding new and innovative ways to stay ahead of industry trends and team needs.

    Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
    • Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associates
    • Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization
    • Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors
    • Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge.

      Nature and Scope:
      • Typically reports to Store Operations Process Manager or Store Operations Business Manager (or Sr. Managers)
      • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).

        Environment:
        1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
        Travel:
        Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
