Position Description:

POSITION PURPOSE
The Senior Analyst, Communications and Change Management, will play a key role in helping projects meet business, schedule and budget objectives. This person will focus on the people side of change - including changes to business process, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures as applicable. The primary focus will be creating and implementing change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement. This will include creating and implementing project communication plans that align with the initiatives. The Communications and Change Management Senior Analyst will partner with other business teams to drive faster adoption and higher proficiency for associates such that business goals are met.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the people side change caused by projects and organizational change efforts. 
  • Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
  • Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • Work with communication, training, HR specialists in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementations- including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, training plan and resistance management plan. 
  • Develop key messaging for HR initiatives. 
  • Develop a communication strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the business process change and the groups being impacted by the change.
  • Work with project teams to integrate communication management activities into the overall project plan. 
  • Provide editorial services, proofreading and copy editing of documents to ensure accuracy of content, consistent voice, proper spelling and grammar usage.
  • Maintenance of communication library correspondence to be used as a resource for other requests.
  • Responsible for development and calendar maintenance of recurring communication content (i.e, HR Direct Access page, Payroll Year-end, etc.). 
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key HR contacts. 
  • Monitor results and develop reporting as requested. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process 
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools 
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal. 
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization. 
  • Strong analytic and decision making abilities.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Position reports to Sr. Manager, HR Services
No direct reports
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree. 
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change effort. 
  • Experience in Corporate Communications. 
  • Change Management Professional designation a plus (not required)
  • Project Management Professional designation a plus (not required)
