Program Manager, Marketing Paid Media

**Description**

Staples Connect is embarking on a journey of brand transformation from The Office Supply Superstore to The Working & Learning Store. Our paid media strategy and platform approach will be used to engage our audience and communicate key brand values and principles that showcase how we make people successful in their working and learning lives.



The **Program Manager, Marketing Paid Media** reports to the Manager of Digital Media and is a key member of the team and responsible for supporting the strategic planning and management of key paid media programs designed to connect with curious achiever worker, leaner and small business audiences. The role requires strong foundational knowledge of the evolving media landscape across key traditional (Radio, TV, OOH) and digital channels and platforms (Digital Video, Digital Audio, Podcasting, Display, Native). In your day-to-day role youll be responsible for partnering with internal marketing and creative teams and external media agencies to drive the process that brings our media strategies to market.



**Key Responsibilities:**



+ Cross-channel media campaign support & execution with internal media team & marketing partners including understanding goals of the season, audience targets and the creative assets available to support seasonal marketing strategies and their respective program, promotion and evergreen strategies.

+ Partner with external agencies including status calls, program kick-offs & performance review. Support will focus on key media vehicles connecting with customers via sight, sound and motion including radio, digital audio/podcasting, TV/CTV, Digital Video, Display and other native formats.

+ Collect key data and insights to summarize program performance to key business partners including summaries of budget delivery, ability to meet KPIs and insights to inform future planning and programs.

+ Drive program optimization in partnership with media agencies and direct relationships with key media partners.

+ Support testing roadmap to highlight ongoing cadence of test and learning opportunities within and across channels.

+ Partner with non-marketing/merchandising partners on delivering key requirements to support media activation including automation of key data flows with API connections, and feed development.

+ Maintain key media team budget documents related to tracking planned and actual spend including the process of submitting invoices for reconciliation.

+ Act as an advocate for paid media across marketing, merchandising and the broader retail organization. Provide guidance on industry trends, best practices and key concepts that will foster understanding and collaboration to benefit the brand and entire retail organization.

**Qualifications**

**Essential skills and experience:**



+ 3-5 years in marketing or media with responsibility for managing key customer facing programs. Experience managing paid media marketing programs for consumer brands or as their partner at agencies preferred.

+ Experience working with or working at a media agency

+ Experience planning across an evolving mix of media channels including traditional and digital channels (programmatic, social, search, radio, print)

+ Expertise in data analysis, especially distinguishing meaningful insights and trends vs white noise

+ Experience developing & presenting campaign summary materials to marketing and business partners

+ Strong communication skills and comfortability working with multiple marketing partners across different groups and skills sets

+ Knowledge of marketing technologies & tools (e.g., web analytics, tag management, ad servers, attribution, etc.)

+ Experience managing and mentoring junior team members

+ Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to draw conclusions and act based on data

+ Self-starter with high degree of motivation, ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple projects
