Program Manager - Leader Development

**Description**



**Position Summary:**



Under the general supervision of the Manager Leader Development, this position is responsible for designing, curating and launching Leadership and Management Development programs that drive the growth of Staples 2.0. This role will partner with the business to embed leadership and managerial capability into Staples culture and practices using a variety of learning methods and solutions. It will **support** the implementation of a broad range of talent, leadership, diversity, engagement and organizational development services.



**Key Responsibilities:**



In partnership with the Manager of Leader Development to **deploy** a variety of leadership solutions across geographies in a way that are relevant and impactful:



+ Support leadership development roadmap that clearly shows the build of skills and knowledge from one level to another (iLeadSeries).

+ Design and implement programs and processes that adequately supply the organization with highly competent leaders.

+ Launch high impact strategies for leadership development programming

+ Develop training/learning objectives, curricula, eligibility /prerequisites for all employee levels to a high standard.

+ Deploy enterprise learning solutions to drive knowledge transfer and business impact; identify development opportunities (i.e. stretch assignments/action learning assignments) to support the development of the organizations high potential talent

+ May also include researching, procuring and modifying commercially-available training tools and programs.

+ Builds programs with Operating System (OS) in mind. Includes "chunking" of content for more manageable content learning & flexibility where needed.

+ Evaluate efficacy and impact of leadership programming

+ Partner with leaders across various business units, as appropriate, to accelerate leadership potential and grow our leadership bench

+ Deliver on all facets of leadership/manager effectiveness to execute/achieve corporate strategy

+ Support the delivery of key leadership and talent management activities and training

+ Serve as an expert resource to accelerate the development (70-20-10) of high potential talent and develop talent to build the succession pipeline



**Qualifications**

**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**



+ BA/BS with 8+ years of progressive experience in Leader Development and/or Organization Development

+ MA/MS/MBA in Human Resources, Organizational Development/Psychology or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

+ 2 3 yrs. Learning Evaluation background

+ Successful track record designing and managing multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.

+ Impeccable customer service, interpersonal, and team building skills

+ Must be proactive, a self-starter, results oriented and take ownership

+ Ability to partner closely with senior executives and execute quickly

+ Flexible and agile in your approach to leveraging data and making rapid decisions

+ Willing to get involved in a variety of tasks from high level strategic to detailed and routine tasks

+ Flexible and adaptable when dealing with ambiguity, conflicting priorities and crises

+ Design and adult learning (e.g., ADDIE Model, Design Thinking, Kirkpatrick Model, Blooms Taxonomy) knowledge
