Position Description:
Position Purpose:

Responsible for the overall success of a 130K square foot technology deployment center environment which includes providing input to designing deployment operations for enterprise-wide IT hardware projects; ensuring IT hardware staging and configuration operations are completed within SLA; ensuring Depot Maintenance and Ariba catalog order fulfillment meet or exceed SLA; accuracy of all inventories; input to maintaining inventory min/max levels; input in forecasting FTL/LTL and small package shipping metrics/cost; facility safety; managing lift equipment availability/maintenance activities and safety; provide input to forecasting FTE and contractor resource needs; and estimating capital budget needs for facility asset planning and repair/replacement and execution of complete day-to-day operations for the entire distribution center. 

Also, responsible for maximizing productivity and expenses while modeling Home Depot’s core values. The facility manager must ensure that the distribution center is optimally organized to provide excellent customer service to Home Depot Stores and Customers by ensuring all requests for technology hardware is delivered on-time and within budget. The facility manager must have a comprehensive knowledge of the technology infrastructure business, be able to use this knowledge to formulate goals and objectives and be capable of motivating his/her self and a team of 25+ associates.

  • Managing all aspects of the facilities’ operations, processes, services and related objectives to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains that reduce overall cost-to-serve; Participates in strategic and business process improvement projects. 
    • Evaluates the effectiveness of and recommends alternatives for work methods, procedures, controls and staffing to achieve accurate and timely movement and processing of product; manage to ensure warehouse layout is optimally aligned for maximum efficiency and inventory needs.
      • Interact with business partners to drive results and deliver solutions to stores, Technology Field Captains, internal technology teams, corporate compute device users, call centers and none store locations.  Identify and share best practices and build relationships with key partners that support the business.
        • Coaches, trains, and develops associates informally and through formal training programs, providing both informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance based feedback. Maintains an inclusive work environment by creating an employee-centered work place that demonstrates care and concern for all associates.
          • Directly responsible for ensuring that store and customer needs are met, service is managed to KPIs, and any store or customer concern is handled promptly and completely; manages and responds to emergency issues.
            • Ensure a culture of safety throughout the organization by following Home Depot safety policies and procedures – monitor facility safety, physical security and operational metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

              Nature and Scope: Typically reports to the Product Support Sr. Manager, Technology Director or Sr. Director.

              Environment: Located in a warehouse environment. Any unpleasant conditions should be expected and not objectionable.

              Travel: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

              Certificates & Licenses: Forklift training and certification will be provided.
