**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly motivated Power Engineer/ Program Manager for employment in either our Tampa, FL or Boca Raton, FL office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Responsible for the electrical engineering design for new construction and rehabilitation/upgrade projects

+ Assists with business development in the Southeast US.

+ Supervise junior engineers and assist in their professional development

+ Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations

+ Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures

+ Exercises judgment limited to developing details of work in making system selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives

+ Identifies unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work

+ Receives minimal supervision on technical aspect of assignments

+ Works in a team based environment, and take the lead as needed

+ Evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications

+ Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria

+ Resolves issues or problems concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult coordination requirements

+ Conducts peer reviews and makes technical presentations

+ Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work as a part of a major project or small-moderate scope project

+ Reviews, plans and, prepares technical specifications according to the contract documents

+ Coordinates and prepares deliverables (calculations, specifications and drawings) for submittal to clients

+ Represents project(s) to other disciplines and AECOM management

+ Interacts regularly with clients to expand work assignments or market new work

+ Assists with proposals and scopes of work to provide services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university

+ 10+ years of engineering experience which must include recent experience working in Florida on Energy Efficiency or Power Generation projects

+ Excellent client/customer service skills

+ Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines and budget

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to travel as required to meet project requirements

+ Familiar with engineering and building codes: NEC, NFPA 110, NFPA 99, IBC, etc.

+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license

Must have the following knowledge, experience and technical skills:

+ Design and specify medium and low-voltage power distribution systems including substations, transformers, switchgears/switchboards, panelboards, relay protection, MCCs, VFDs, UPS, and generators

+ Provide construction documents including plans and specifications for power and energy projects including combined heat and power, distributed generation, micro-grids/smart grids, battery and thermal energy storage, energy efficiency, and renewable energy

+ Design and specify cabling and conduit/cable tray cable distribution systems, grounding, and lightning protection systems

+ Design one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and panel layouts in AC and DC

+ Provide quality checks

+ Prepare bill of material, construction cost estimates, and provide engineering support during construction including testing and commissioning

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office, REVIT, and AutoCAD

+ Proficient with power analysis tools such as SKM and ETAP to provide short circuit, arc flash, load flow, and protective device coordination studies

+ Assisting with business development strategies and activities for the Energy Savings Program Contract (ESPC) market

+ Identifying and cultivating client relationships and leads that result in energy services and performance contracting opportunities

+ Be involved in identifying, developing, and proposing new energy projects

+ Negotiating partnerships and alliances

+ Managing client relationships internally and externally

+ Maintaining a sharp focus on the client during project implementation

+ Mentoring junior and mid level engineers

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ EIT or PE licensed
