The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks

+ Lead the preparation of deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates related to heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) for commercial, governmental, and institutional facilities

+ Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives

+ Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

+ Assist with the mechanical design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for commercial and institutional facilities

+ Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software (AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace)

+ Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

+ Deliver complete, accurate, and coordinated project design assignments within time and budget parameters while satisfying client contractual obligations

+ Perform field investigations for incorporation of existing conditions into construction documents

+ Work within a project team environment and coordinate work with other project disciplines

+ Maintain and organize all project-related documentation

+ Plan and organize work that follows a defined process

+ Work independently and make technical decisions based on building code interpretation as well as company, client, and industry standard practices

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

+ 2+ years of experience

+ Proficient in AutoCAD MEP and Revit

+ The ability to work with, interpret, and apply national and local building codes

+ Proficient in the use of computers for making engineering calculations, spreadsheets, and report writing

+ Strong verbal communication skills

+ Strong technical writing skills

+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ LEED Accredited Professional Credential

+ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)

+ Ability to obtain Government security clearance if requested
