Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead the design and implementation of highly effective, results-driven college and university recruiting strategies and execution for hiring that provides a diverse, high-quality, world-class talent pipeline. The Manager, Talent Acquisition will serve as the project manager for our university relations committee, which drives the strategy for our on-campus recruiting efforts and internship program among our target schools. The Manager, Talent Acquisition will serve as the liaison between the business and the UR committee/school teams to ensure successful implementation and revisions, as needed, to the UR strategy to support evolving talent needs.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Serve as project manager for the UR Committee and TA UR team to ensure every aspect of the UR strategy is considered thoroughly and deadlines are met
  • Develop and implement a playbook for the UR Committee and target School Teams to ensure effective implementation of campus recruiting strategy
  • Maintain constant communication with functional leaders, HRGs and recruiters to gather feedback and adjust the strategy as needed to support the business
  • Partner with Employment Marketing to develop and implement on-campus branding strategy for target schools
  • Partner with the UR Diversity Committee to identify opportunities with diversity organizations and student organizations and facilitate partnerships with School Teams
  • Partner with HR to manage School Teams to ensure the following: functions and team members are matched appropriately with schools, team members understand their roles and responsibilities, teams are prepared for their recruiting and interviewing events, on-site presence is coordinated correctly and reporting is completed accurately
  • Update training materials, as needed, and conduct trainings for UR Committee members and School Teams to ensure all participants are aligned on our strategy
  • Partner with functional leaders, School Teams and the UR Committee to assess target school list, value of each event, analyze feedback and school/hiring data, and revise the strategy annually to continue to drive ROI for the business


NATURE AND SCOPE

Typically reports to Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition
Direct reports typically include Senior Recruiters and Recruiters. Supervision of additional contractors also required.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
5 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • 3+ years leading campus recruitment efforts for a large company
  • 5+ years of recruitment or human resources experience
  • Strong program management experience for large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven ability to influence without authority across multiple levels and business areas
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and written, verbal and presentation communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders required
  • Strong decision making and analysis skills required
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing recruitment and employment strategies, policies, and programs
  • Creative and innovative in recruitment activities including the understanding of successful candidate traits, demographic characteristics, and talent management inputs
  • Senior level leadership, negotiation and influence skills to serve as a staffing expert and internal advisor
  • Strong creative thinker with analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Unmatched commitment to customer service
