Position Purpose:

The Private Brands Finance, Technology and Strategy team helps lead Home Depot’s Private Brands Strategy development, Technology roadmap, Strategic initiative execution and Financial Management of a multi-billion dollars Private Brands organization, working with business partners to both develop and execute Private Brands corporate strategy.

The role will lead Private Brands strategic planning efforts, best in class benchmarking and will work with business leaders to identify the most critical focus areas for next one to five years. The role will partner with the senior leadership of Home Depot Private Brands team and help craft and communicate strategy for the senior leaders.  With the strategy defined, Private Brands Finance, Technology and Strategy team heavily supports key initiatives via research, planning, and implementation. As part of the team, members will deepen their knowledge of home improvement retail, product development, global sourcing, product engineering,  market trends, channel profitability and investigate emerging technologies influencing Private Brands (in-store and online experience, merchandising, pricing, delivery, marketing, etc.).

The Manager role will also support work streams critical to The Home Depot Private Brands strategic vision. In this role, the Manager receives exposure to the whole Private Brands business and has the opportunity to cultivate trusted working relationships with senior business partners while affecting change from within one of the world’s leading retailers.Duties will include but are not limited to:

Private Brands Strategy Formulation:

  • Design and conduct specialized research, interviews, and analysis to evaluate market landscapes, competitors, and current business strategies
  • Support annual Private Brands strategic planning process

     Initiative Execution:

    • Lead and support cross-functional project teams to manage and execute high-value initiatives

    • Lead and support special requests and presentations for leadership teams 
      Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

      • Develop expertise and become the go-to expert on key competitors and market trends; own regular reporting on one or more data sources
      • Lead one or more workstreams in the strategic and operational planning cycle
      • Analyzes business problems, structures the issue and prioritizes analyses, performs analyses, synthesizes data to develop a solution, creates documents communicating solution using structured communications principles, presents solution to team and stakeholders, works with stakeholders to implement the solution.Nature and Scope:

        Environmental Job Requirements:
        Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
        Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
