POSITION PURPOSE
This position manages people and processes related to the development of advanced analytics to support the company’s strategic objectives.  The role works cross-functionally with business partners from Merchandising, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Online and IT to design and implement data analytics, tools, and new visibility/reporting capabilities. This role has responsibility for creating analytics, translating business questions to actionable insights, supporting ongoing analytical needs, designing new analytical platforms, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality analytics solutions for the Home Depot. This role is expected to leverage effective communication skills to translate complex analyses into understandable insights, with a passion to learn and develop.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

• Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers, and business analysts to understand business problem and deliver high quality analytics solutions
• Project Management - Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to effectively execute analytical projects or processes
• Storytelling and advanced problem solving
• Data analytics with large volumes of data, including data cleansing, validation, testing
• Use of wide variety of database applications / analytical tools including SQL, SAS, R, and python
• Enhancements / modifications to systems and procedures; Supporting end users, problem solving, troubleshooting

  NATURE AND SCOPE -

  • This position typically reports to a Senior Manager or Director and may supervise one or more analysts.
  • Typically requires highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive or controversial situations.
  • Typically faces situations that are unstructured and require original approaches.
  • Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development.
  • Typically considers new approaches within general policies and short-term goals when solving problems.
  • Typically, once given assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it.
  • For Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City residents: The pay range for this position is between $100,000 and $210,000. Starting salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive financial and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position
