Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE

This position manages a team and contributes individually to ensure Time & Attendance Systems and other HR Technology and Analytics business initiatives are fully supported with the appropriate process, tools, and metrics. This position works closely with the Director, HR Technology (and other HR Team Leaders), HR Functional Partners, IT Business Partners, other HR Technology and Analytics teams, and customers of Time & Attendance systems. This position will also be involved directly in any potential future transformation of THD’s  Time & Attendance Systems technology. Although Time & Attendance Systems will be the primary focus of this position, this manager is also be expected to function as a project manager for other HR initiatives.  In this role, you will also:

  • Inspire your team to deliver excellent customer service
  • Partner with business and product management teams to prioritize and maintain focus on critical system compliance and value-add work
  • Partner with IT teams to maximize system availability and responsiveness.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • 15% Monitor and guide work activity for team. Oversee the coordination, organization and appropriate distribution of work 
  • 30% Recruit, select, orient, train, guide and develop resources; Manage and monitor team performance against SLAs and performance goals 
  • 30% Utilize standard project development methodologies to facilitate delivery of HR System solutions. Manage complex projects from inception to completion, including change management, end user training and support. Provide Subject Matter Expertise and support to HR and other groups as needed. 
  • 25% Lead the establishment and maintenance of internal Standard Operating Processes for areas of responsibility. Establish and maintain methods and practices to facilitate communication and integration across key relationships to accomplish goals.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Sr. Manager HR Services or Director HR Services
Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of system design and support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience managing teams 
  • Prior experience within a large organization 
  • Experience with implementation and support of large package software
  • Prior Kronos Time and Attendance system design, configuration, and support
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Project management and systems methodology 
  • Information management principles and knowledge of HR/HR Systems 
  • Strong interpersonal, team and communication skills with customer focus
