Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The HR Support Systems Manager manages and drives support and projects associated with the maintenance, and security of HR systems – including project management, requirements analysis and documentation, and coordination of the user acceptance testing. They have functional oversight for all HR systems and are responsible for ensuring that all HR applications are operational with minimal down-time. The manager ensures compliance to documentation standards and that all stakeholders are fully aware of issues, contingencies and resolutions. They must be willing to invest the time to have in-depth knowledge about the HR systems they support and be comfortable discussing change impacts and issues.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
50% - Manages the entire Production Support process via Workday modules for HCM, Payroll, Absence, Talent & Compensation; Ensures reported incidents are tracked and documented (including scope, resource requirements, and impact); Creates/refines production support strategies, builds a team and manages resources to meet deliverables; Partners with IT and the business area to ensure proper prioritization of key work activities; Works closely with Change Management, ensures communication strategy is implemented for all stakeholders with respect to application issues including issue identification, contingency (or appropriate work-around), expected resolution timeframe, and resolution completion; Manages resolution of issues, root cause analysis and ensures recurring issues are resolved permanently
20% - Provides front-line support for incident reporting; Coordinates notification to the appropriate teams to drive issue resolution - communicating effectively across all levels of management across the organization.
15% - Ensures adherence to all relevant payroll, employment, and income tax laws, regulations, and operating guidelines; Ensures appropriate payroll and payroll tax compliance to all Federal and State regulations
15% - Coaches, mentors and evaluates team member performance; Develops successful team culture, including adherence to departmental processes

NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Sr. Manager.
This position has direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
