Position Purpose:
In this position, the Manager of Finance will be expected to provide total financial leadership, direction and analysis to the functional management team.
- The Finance Manager will be expected to provide financial controllership around strategies to drive incremental sales and profits of Private Label credit card products and Home Depot Protection Plans
- The Finance Manager will play a key role in driving functional metrics, controlling costs, and work closely with the Sr. Finance Manager and functional leaders in order to achieve business goals and create shareholder value
- Act as a strategic thought partner to functional leaders for key initiatives, including strategies for new credit card account generation, increasing sales from existing Home Depot credit card customers, improving operational efficiencies and/or the creation and implementation of new features/services that will enhance the customer experience. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Evaluate financial impact of new and existing credit programs, promotions, products and services that support the needs of current or future customers, or that support new strategic initiatives or acquisitions.
- Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving: Works to fully understand business; partner with functional leaders on new credit product and program designs, as well as their development and implementation based on projected profitability.
- Participates and leads in preparation of annual and 2H planning for Deferred Interest expense and HDPP revenue; forecasts performance based on trends and key drivers; and prepares/reviews reporting of weekly/monthly metrics to ensure that budgetary goals are met.
- Project Management: Develops and supports a strategic alliance with business partners. Participates in cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage. Facilitates cross-functional communication with other areas of the business including but not limited to Finance, Operations, and IT.

Typically reports to Senior Manager Credit ServicesCurrently has no direct reports. Potential to include direct reports in future and would require direct supervision of the work activities of others.Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
