Position Description:
Position Purpose:
Enhance enterprise-wide staffing by strategically creating and implementin an effective Employment Brand for The Home Depot targeting future and current associates. Responsible for understanding the various staffing needs and recommending strategies for attracting the right applicants to the stores, subsidiaries and ASSC. Requires significant partnership with Senior Leaders within Marketing, Internal Communications, Diversity, HRIS, Public Relations, Community Affairs, outside marketing partners as well as staffing team members who manage rotational programs and large staffing initiatives. This position will work with all of these groups to develop effective, targeted campaigns. Primary groups served by this position include Staffing Managers, HRVPs, and other departments within the Human Resources team. An incumbent of this position should have strong leadership skills coupled with marketing/advertising background coupled with a high-level understanding of staffing and the overall Home Depot brand position. Ability to lead, promote teamwork and work cross-functionally is essential.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
15% Create brand strategy, budget and resulting marketing activities to support overall staffing needs and initiatives designed to attract/retain the best possible candidate and provide a positive candidate experience.
10% Partner with the Marketing department and Public Relations to leverage internal resources and execute programs that are aligned with overall corporate marketing strategy.
15% Assume a consultative role with the HRVPs, HRMs and SMs and other internal HR groups to recommend marketing strategies designed to meet their needs.
10% Recommend solid marketing plans to support internal staffing initiatives that require marketing support.
10% Identify trends, data and critical factors that influence our various staffing audiences. Conduct research as needed.
20% Provide leadership to the Employment Marketing team by providing direction and coaching as needed. Select, develop and motivate assigned staff.
10% Analyze marketing needs for various subsidiaries and divisions within The Home Depot and track effectiveness of marketing executions when possible.
10% Oversee outside marketing partners selected to support the Employment Marketing group for media services, marketing support, job boards, etc.

Nature and Scope:
Director Employment Branding
Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

Environmental Job Requirements:
1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
