POSITION PURPOSE

To lead and develop a team of accountants that are responsible for ensuring the company’s financial statements are consolidated appropriately including:  subsidiary trial balances, intercompany sales, and intercompany payables/receivable, Equity, Stock Compensation, Fx, and statutory audit compliance function. This position will be required to balance a technical accounting skillset with an interpersonal skillset required to effectively lead and motivate a team of professionals.  This person should have fine-tuned written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate down to his or her team and up to the leadership level on team priorities and productivity.  It will frequently involve balancing multiple priorities and good organizational skills are key to success. Development and coaching of the Senior Accountants and a Supervisor including interactive development plans and frequent and organized development conversations is required.  This person will need to be able to able to balance day to day with ad hoc requests and work to support our ongoing transformation initiatives.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Consolidation of financial information including foreign currency translation and intercompany eliminations
• Coordinate the closing process with subsidiary companies' management
• Aid various teams in the integration of the subsidiary books into the core systems
• Coordinate with subsidiary management explanations of variances to plan and last year and aid core accounting teams in explaining when subsidiary is driving consolidated variances
• Owns the stockholders equity section of the balance sheet
• Development and supervision of Consolidations staff
