Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to assist and support the Legal Department with the legal processes for store violations, third party requests for information, subpoenas, claims and litigation matters, outside counsel and vendor billing, as well as other administrative and clerical functions as needed.  The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aids brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. 



  • Handle processing of all invoices for legal services presented to the department for payment, to include appropriate coding, tracking in litigation management database and interface with accounting to ensure prompt payment.

  • Research and review requests for information, violation matters and third party requests
  • Assist with general office duties, including filing, drafting correspondence, reviewing/distributing incoming mail, and answering phone calls.

  • Prepare and maintain logs, spreadsheets, charts and databases to track the progress of workflow within the department.

  • Assist with travel requirements of attorneys, including making arrangements for auto rentals, ground transportation, accommodations, airline reservations, etc.

Experience / Requirements


  • One (1) year of experience in Legal experience preferred.


  • Associates Degree (AA) Legal Services/Paralegal preferred.
