Position Purpose:
The Financial Data Analyst will utilize SQL, Tableau and MS Excel to develop and prepare financial analysis and reporting necessary to enable management to make informed business decisions.  Important financial trends will be identified quickly, and appropriate strategies developed/implemented to ensure financial targets are achieved. Financial and analytical support focused on payment acceptance costs,
Deferred Interest (promo costs), and HD Protection Plans. May be involved in cross-functional project work.

Note: Atlanta-based role with Hybrid schedule.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

• Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving. Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures execution of financial department objectives.
• Provide operational support to team management.  Assist in developing forecasts and plans.  Evaluate performance of KPIs and identify key variance drivers. Prepare/review reporting of weekly/monthly metrics to ensure that budgetary goals are met.
• Gather and analyze data. Compile, develop or prepare reports, graphs, and charts of data developed.  
• Provide project support and guidance to other team members.
• Own and manage projects to ensure timely completion and highest quality. Develop and execute detailed project design/ implementation plans.
• Evaluate financial and operational/quality results against predetermined goals.

  This position typically reports to a Manager or Sr. Manager. This position typically has no direct reports. Typically requires some persuasion or influencing of others. Typically procedures for analyzing situations and making conclusions are very diverse. Typically considers among many different options or procedures when solving problems. Typically progress or results of work is periodically checked. Has some leeway to change work procedures.
