Position Description:
Position Purpose: The overall responsibility of the Division Rental Operations Manager is to support the execution of Rental Field Large Equipment initiatives within their respective division. This includes ensuring processes are in place and supported by Field operators to drive safety, inspection compliance, operational standards, rental readiness, fleet deployment, UES and profitability. The DROM is responsible for teaching, coaching, and training Rental field leadership. They must have the ability to balance multiple large cross-functional projects that ultimately, bring value to The Home Depot. They must also remain focused on all Division specific rental objectives, especially of Rental Operation Facilities (ROF/Rental Operations Facility) while supporting key field responsibilities. Having strong communication skills and cross-functionally partnering with all operations teams is critical for success of this position. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: 5% Complete Feedback Sessions and Quarterly Reviews - Conduct timely feedback engagement exercises for regular feedback for both Salary and Non-Salaried Roles. Complete, report and review quarterly Rental Operation Facility Scorecards with the Branch Manager/Regional Rental Manager/DRM. 5% Drive Large Cross-Functional Projects - Drive large cross-functional projects focusing on bringing value to Home Depot through rental operations process improvement, while level setting timing of projects, initiatives and providing support and direction to Rental Field Leadership 30% Support ROF Leadership – Support Branch Managers, Rental Repair Supervisors and Rental Operations Supervisors on any roadblocks or operational objectives to achieve their goals and deliverables as outlined in the ROF Playbook; Teach, train and coach associates to achieve divisional alignment and sound execution. Nature and Scope: Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development. This position reports to Sr Manager of Rental Field Operations Environmental Job Requirements: Environment: Typically, in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
