Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
As part of the Human Resources function, the Director of HR Analytics has the responsibility of providing strategic direction on Data Science, HR reporting, business analytics and process improvement to drive efficiency for the organization. This role is also responsible for leading (coach, mentor, develop) a group of technical experts who perform all data extraction, modeling and analysis projects leveraging deep expertise in statistical and quantitative analysis. Additionally, the position delivers insights and consulting services to a broad range of internal clients, including the HR leadership, as well as finance and operational partners. The Director is a subject matter expert on human capital impacts on business effectiveness and profitability and is responsible for remaining current on internal and external environments regarding developments that may have an impact on the business and its operations. This role will partner closely with the HR Leadership Team to co-develop vision, strategy, and roadmap of HR analytical capabilities into scalable solutions.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide strategic direction and drive accountability and results for the development and implementation of trends analysis, business results and pertinent data that drive process improvement across the organization
  • Consult business partners on the appropriate use of statistical and quantitative modeling and analysis techniques to guide their decision making processes
  • Develop and implement business standards and guidelines on procedures that drive business analytics across the enterprise
  • Provide oversight and review projects and implementation of metrics to ensure successful execution and sustainability
  • Coordinate the design, development and implementation of analytical tools, technology and business solutions that improve HR and business decisions and that drive operational efficiency.
  • Educate and raise the awareness of business leaders and internal HR clients regarding availability and use of analytical tools, techniques and the opportunities that exist with strategic use of Home Depot’s HR information assets.¬†
  • Coordinate the design and development of dashboards, reports, presentations and visual aids designed to educate, inform and influence the decisions of HR clients and business leaders within Home Depot.

    Environment:
    Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

    Travel:
    Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
