**OVERVIEW**



The Creative Director (CD) for B2B Creative Services will provide innovative strategic and creative leadership to guide all aspects of concepting, image creation, copywriting, design direction and production/execution across multiple teams. Working with both members of the creative team and various program stakeholders, the CD is responsible for ensuring that every creative execution is developed in alignment with brand strategy, business strategy and the programs desired outcome. The CD is also responsible for managing senior client relationships, establishing best-in-class workflow efficiencies and providing full-service support to clients.



The Creative Director must be able to clearly and convincingly present creative concepts to all parties. This person must exhibit outstanding creative judgment and help guide the creative services team in achieving the highest possible standards for all deliverables regardless of medium. The Creative Director must also quickly understand critical client business challenges and originate innovative solutions to address those challenges all while rolling up their sleeves to get personally involved in delivering exceptional work on high profile and complex creative challenges.



**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**



**Team Leadership**



+ Work harmoniously with others to get a job done and lead the team in a collaborative fashion

+ Share critical information with everyone involved in a project to produce more effective creative solutions

+ Build a culture of enthusiasm and cooperation within the creative group and across the organization

+ Promote a solution-oriented mentality across the creative and internal teams

+ Encourage individuals to take on specific roles to deepen existing skills or develop new ones

+ Lead with a passion that energizes the teams to over-deliver against expectations and results in high employee engagement, retention and overall job satisfaction



**Creative Direction, Leadership and Execution**



+ Provide creative direction and coaching while partnering with team to accomplish objectives

+ Provide creative quality oversight and control over concepts and execution

+ Direct complex, large-scale project activities and effectively lead and manage the work

+ Provision, direct and work with outside agency resources for scaling and key projects as needed

+ Thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

+ Lead execution of Tier 1 creative work on select projects including development of sketches/prototypes and imagery selection or headlines and copy

+ Be skilled at creating custom content that drives engagement along the customer journey

+ Provide brand guidance and direction to ensure consistent alignment with brand standards

+ Motivate the team to deliver a consistently high level of quality as evaluated by clients

+ Understand data used to track market trends and customer actions and use it to inform the creative work

+ Direct team as brand advocates, but also encourage and develop new interpretations of the brand standards and out-of-the-box approaches to grow the verbal and visual identity of the brand to meet ever expanding company needs

+ Develop creative strategies to address marketing and business objectives

+ Articulate and codify the creative rationale that drives the concepts execution and tactics

+ Expect team to push new thinking and challenge clich or rerun ideas

+ Confidently and diplomatically steward new ideas through the organization on behalf of the team



**Staff Development**



+ Work to improve the teams performance by pursuing opportunities for continuous learning/feedback

+ Constructively help and coach teams in their professional development through informal and formal feedback sessions (i.e., performance reviews) as appropriate

+ Demonstrate a real sense of caring for the teams professional and personal well being

+ Implement and refine conceptual development/ideation process and define

+ Exhibit a can-do approach and inspire and motivate associates to excel

+ Celebrate team and individual successes and create a safe environment for constructive feedback and on-going development



**Client Service**



+ Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and be perceived as a credible, trusted advisor

+ Partner with internal stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes in an efficient manner

+ Work with internal stakeholders to articulate creative needs concisely yet completely



+ Appropriately balance client desires, business requirements and marketing strategies

+ Find common ground with internal stakeholders when debating creative or strategic opinions



**Qualifications :**



**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**



+ Big picture thinker

+ Keen understanding of B2B marketing and building loyalty with B2B customers

+ Exceptional copywriting and messaging capabilities

+ Critical eye for detail, consistency, and world-class design standards

+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage differing viewpoints so the final product remains true to the objective

+ Proven leadership skills

+ Hands-on experience in at least one creative discipline: design, copywriting, video production

+ Effective communication and presentation skills

+ Working knowledge in industry-standard software and tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, project management software, Workfront and online market research

+ Experience in brand development as well as traditional and emerging multichannel marketing

+ Ability to anticipate problems and see how a problem and its solution will affect other projects, people or processes

+ Understanding that all projects require attention to detail so that work is on time, on budget and on strategy

+ Knows how to be persuasive and/or negotiate when selling in ideas



**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**



+ Bachelors degree required; MFA preferred, preferably in design

+ Minimum of 10 years professional experience required; five as an art director or copywriter

+ Three years management experience required

+ Portfolio requested

+ In-house agency experience desired

+ External agency experience desired



+ Demonstrated creative conceptualization skills
