The NSP (Non-Stock Procurement) Team is responsible for over $600 million in dropship and special-order product sourcing, order processing and service for our Contract, and Dotcom Customers. This team excels at building strong customer, sales teams, and vendor relationships and employs creative problem-solving methods to meet or exceed customer expectations.



**What You'll be doing:**



Online sourcing, special order quoting and order management of non-stock product(s) for Staples external customers (Sales, Customer Service, CSCs, LOBs & External Customers).



**Primary Responsibilities:**



+ Providing complete sourcing solutions including:

+ Sourcing (transactional and large bids) and purchasing in a variety of categories including facilities, safety, Breakroom, technology, and office supplies using best purchasing practices

+ Cross functional work with different groups (sales, merchandising, etc)

+ Delivering competitive, accurate quotes

+ Delivering appropriate substitute products (as applicable)

+ Making recommendations for pricing

+ Negotiating pricing to meet target requested by customers

+ Negotiating availability of restricted items

+ Service customers needs for product that is out of scope of replenishments functionality

+ Providing complete Drop Ship solutions including:

+ Provide Proactive Communication to Internal /External customers regarding Order Status as applicable

+ Support, Track, expedite, and maintain open purchase orders.

+ Work within Staples purchasing practices and procedures as well as vendor contracts for the vendors that we use to support our dropship and special-order demand.

+ Responsible for executing daily purchase of drop ship and FC (fulfillment center) special ordering for Staples Customers

+ Use AS400 purchasing systems, E-forms, Commerce Hub etc. to proactively manage and process customer dropship orders

+ Work with multiple staples teams (merchandising, finance, vendor compliance etc) to proactively address SKU issues and vendor compliance

+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with Staples customers and vendors to facilitate timely and accurate processing of orders and delivered product

+ General Responsibilities:

+ Achieve departmental buyer goals and objectives

+ Support External and Internal Customers, including the Sales Team, Contract Customer Care and Vendors

+ Be a Champion of change demonstrate a consistent positive can-do attitude

+ Possess a strong work ethic as well as foster a productive, professional work environment that supports NSP initiatives, processes, and procedures

+ Demonstrate alignment with Staples Values

+ Special Projects as assigned



**Qualifications :**



What's needed Basic Qualifications:



+ High School Diploma or GED with 1-3 years working experience in customer service or a related field

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to navigate websites

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Ability to work independently, self-motivation a must

+ Flexible, detail-oriented with strong organizational and information-gathering skills

+ Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment

+ Strong Multi-tasking & Time Management skills

+ Excellent problem-solving skills

+ Demonstrated negotiation skills

+ Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment



**What's Needed Preferred Qualifications:**



+ Knowledge of systems: AS400, Commerce Hub
