**Job Summary**

The BIM Manager leads in the development and expansion of AECOM’s aviation model; advises Senior Staff on policies and technical solutions to implement the BIM process model; represents AECOM at industry forums to publicize AECOM’s cutting-edge accomplishments using BIM in design, construction, and maintenance.

The BIM group supports this effort by ensuring that new construction projects incorporate BIM processes from the concept stage through design, construction, commissioning, and transition into maintenance and operations. In addition, the BIM group develops policies and procedures to define processes for our aviation clients. The BIM group maintains our aviation clients BIM models, and looks for opportunities to add to its content to better represent existing facilities and systems. The BIM group considers requirements to link the model into other software platforms, such as GIS or Enterprise Asset Management programs.

We are looking for true leader to play a key role in helping AECOM achieve this Strategic Plan. AECOM is currently unveiling an ambitious multi-year strategic plan that puts into context a more nationally competitive process, defines the Aviation Systems strategic priorities, and establishes quantifiable objectives for success.

Responsibilities include:

+ Provides support to project delivery teams by managing the resolution of BIM related issues and tasks.

+ Liaison with client’s wider BIM initiatives. This could include interfacing with various Facilities Management programs. Integrate them into program.

+ Provide, direction and support to project designers and contractors for integration of the program’s BIM policy. Work with the client, their consultants and contractor to coordinate BIM issues with projects.

+ Work with design teams to refine the models and BIM deliverable.

+ Work with Owners and AECOM management to enhance reporting through the use of BIM.

+ Work with Owners and Consultants and Contractors to further define BIM scope and deliverables.

+ Work with team members to develop their IT and software requirements, interoperability, etc.

+ Facilitate model handover from Designer to Builder, and Designer and Builder to Owner.

+ Evaluation of Proposals about BIM.

+ Work with project teams to integrate submittals, manufacturer’s data and as-built information into the BIM model to enhance the model’s Facilities Management capabilities.

+ Work with project teams to extract quantities of material and production are quantifiable from the model.

+ Work with project teams to integrate BIM into the RFI process to more clearly communicate information.

+ Monitor and guide the model advancement and utilization process through construction. Review the contractors' BIM model and as-built model.

+ Assist with integrating BIM into the commissioning process.

+ Work with Owners Facility Managers to develop BIM utilization strategies and programs for operations and maintenance.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree

+ 2+ years' experience

+ Knowledge of computer systems and their applications. Interface with Building Information Modelling (BIM).

+ Expert knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.

+ Extensive knowledge of standard BIM practices, techniques, and procedures.

+ Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master’s Degree in architecture, construction management, or a related field is preferable.

+ Member of technical society preferred.
