Position Description:
Position Purpose:
The Area Maintenance Manager (AMM) is responsible for the oversight and direct supervision of the maintenance associates and maintenance function within multiple distribution centers within a geographical area. They ensure all Supply Chain buildings, equipment, and mechanization is functional, well maintained, and safe for associates by executing established standard operating procedures, best practices, and training programs.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
15% Cross Functional Partnership - Partnership with SSC Support on analysis and vendor related issues to drive improvements in the issue resolution process; Communicate current opportunities, action plans and site performance with leaders and cross functional partners
15% Developing Team - Responsible for the development of team to include leaders, maintenance skillset, and customer service
30% Maintenance Operations - Oversees maintenance process and issue resolution to improve the quality and accuracy of maintenance operations in the Distribution Centers; Responsible for root cause analysis and issue resolution directly related to the mechanization performance; Ensure compliance to processes and developed SOPs, training execution for hourly and salaried building maintenance associates; Manages regional P&L to expectations and communicates action plans to appropriate parties
25% Team Leadership - Manages team to implement and consistently execute various tools to enable effective education and direction of SCI teams at assigned sites; Selects, develops, and motivates team in a manner that aligns with SCI goals and coordinates with activities from other SC departments
15% Vendor Relationships - Ensures mechanization operates at optimal levels through audit programs and feedback; Partners with key vendors to provide feedback and problem solving
Nature and Scope:
This position typically reports to Sr. Manager
This position has 5-10 Direct Reports
Environmental Job Requirements:
Environment:
5. Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
