**What you'll be doing:**


Inside Account Management role responsible for growth and retention for mid-sized inside SBA accounts



**Impact on Business** (i.e. business contribution; nature and scope of responsibility; risk and financial management; strategic vs. tactical vs. delivery orientation.


**Sell to customers** the AM L&S owns the customer relationship and drive sales across all business product categories


**Maintain accounts** with support from Customer Service


**Execute Commercial Plan** by maintaining contact with book of business via touch model and establish call prioritization.


**Penetrate and grow** sales across sites and products, with support from LOB partners


**Review** your accounts and sites with your ASM and change approach as necessary


**Engage with CRM tool** s on a regular basis to keep customer data updated and input opportunities from stage to stage


**Know your products and customers** and attend sales calls through sales calendar execution'



**Innovation and Change** (i.e. improvements to procedures, services, or products, as well as development of new ideas, methods, techniques, services and products)


Analyzes account base and identifies opportunity for growth and leverages existing partnerships


Provides alternative products and services to improve profitability



**Communication/Interactions: Internal & External Customers / Suppliers as well as Third Parties** (i.e. include level or job title of customer relationship and the nature of the customer relationship management and service delivery as well as the type of interaction; adapt/exchange of information, influence, or negotiate)


Communicates and coordinates with various internal teams such as pricing and LOBs


Communicates with various levels of customers organizations



**KPIs Key Performance Indicators (i.e. how is success defined in this role?)**


Sales and profit growth through quota attainment of assigned accounts


Hit key retention targets


Penetration growth in existing accounts


# of opportunities generated and closed / won


Partner with B2B to accelerate ramp of accounts


Manage book coverage to hit goals as established through touch model



**Qualifications :**



**What's Needed- Basic Qualifications:**


1-3 years successful sales experience



**What's Needed- Preferred Qualifications:**


College degree (preferred)


Experience and proven track record of managing programs or business development


Solid knowledge of Office Supplies including facility and breakroom, technology products, business furniture, print and promotional products


Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic software tools


Ability to interface at customers most senior levels


Strong ability to develop and deliver presentations


Consultative selling, solutions selling, insight selling, negotiation and advanced client management skills


Ability to set targets, design growth plans and work with product category sales team members


Strong business, financial, operations and technology acumen


Ability to analyze customer data, business and industry trends to create tailored solutions for customers based upon Staples value proposition


Ability to function independently with minimal daily supervision



**Other Skills** (e.g. specialized training, language proficiency, functional expertise etc.)


Negotiating: Individual will oversee pricing negotiations for specific sales opportunities will need to coordinate the bid and quote process and make discretionary pricing decisions based on their knowledge of the account and assessment of future spend potential


Strategic Planning: Individual will be responsible for targeting which customers to pursue and when; they will be given a list of accounts and will prioritize based on their own knowledge and understanding of the business
