**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and dedicated Civil Engineer/Highway-Roadway Design Engineer for immediate employment in the Raleigh, North Carolina office. Our Raleigh transportation team enjoys a number of challenging projects with a diverse group of clients which includes Federal, State, and Local Governments. Our projects are located in North Carolina with a primary focus in the surrounding areas of Raleigh. Currently, our office is working on large multimillion dollar interstate projects that will provide learning and professional growth opportunities for our employees.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Design roadway projects including interstate, collector and local roadways

+ Prepare plans/drawings/quantities

+ Attend client meetings and provide professional advice and guidance

+ Perform site inspections

+ Lead project tasks as required

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field

+ 5+ years of experience in roadway design or very similar experience

+ North Carolina PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity in 3 months required

+ North Carolina NCDOT experience desired

+ Experience with municipalities, DOT's and approving agencies

+ Ability to scope/estimate complex roadway projects

+ Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams

+ Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Word, MicroStation, Geopak, Corridor Modeler or other design software

+ Must possess a valid driver's license

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

+ Corridor Modeler experience

+ Ability manage projects-cost, budgets, schedule, quality control and deliverables

+ Understanding of NCDOT guidelines, procedures, and plan preparation
