**Job Summary**

Location: Denver, CO

Responsible for administering projects from the pre-construction budgeting/ schedule stage through procurement, shop drawing/coordination development, construction, space turnover and contract closeout. Serve as business development lead for Federal work -CONUS and OCONUS.

**B. Key Areas of Responsibility**

1. Identify construction opportunities and develop capture plans.

2. Lead project teams and ensure project completion within budget, schedule and conformance with design documents.

3. Assist the section manager in working with all departments including estimating scheduling, procurement, labor relations, finance, accounting and other services required. The goal is to achieve an integrated team approach.

4. Participate in developing project bidding strategy with the project team and purchasing department. Prepare scopes of work for each trade, in construction with purchasing.

5. Review and provide schedule information for bid documents, participate in contract negotiations.

6. Develop logistics plans that allow contractors to complete their work in a coordinated, efficient manner.

7. Coordinate and integrate the activities of all of the assistant project managers, project engineers and other support staff on the project. Establish priorities for the project staff based on owner and project requirements.

8. Review and approve all major purchase orders, change orders and contractor/vendor requisitions as prepared by the project staff.

9. Establish regularly scheduled meetings with the contractors and design team to review the following: shop drawing preparation / approval, equipment/material lead times and required on-site dates, project schedule, quality/performance issues on and off site.

10. Monitor contractor/vendor pending costs as reported and the appropriate contractor/vendor. Ensure that the cost report is updated on a weekly basis.

11. Reviews and approves all project forecasts, schedules, cost estimates, financial reports. Ensure that the owner is apprised of all deviations from the project baseline data (i.e., original schedule, budget, etc.).

12. Coordinate with the Section Manager on all client “business” related contact/correspondence to ensure consistency of AECOM reporting throughout the organization.

13. Conducts monthly project/client meetings to review project progress and the following issues: Current cost projections/change orders issued to date, anticipated “pending” costs, schedule update, requisition review, highlight near term major activities, interface issues (equipment/shop drawing review, RH’s, etc.), changes to the project, any other issues deemed appropriate should also be addressed in this meeting.

14. Obtain approvals for changes to the project that have been generated by the project team (A/E, owner, etc). All costs incurred by the change shall be approved by the owner prior to proceeding.

15. Obtain client’s acceptance of the work, and sign-off for the completed project. Responsible for the preparation and submission of the final project report, and prompt closeout of the subcontracts.

**Minimum Requirements**

BS Engineering, Construction, or Architecture and 10 years of construction management experience of varied Federal and commercial construction projects. Fixed price and design/build construction in a constructor or GC role.

1. Working knowledge of Federal Contract delivery and Federal Subcontracting. Familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.

2. Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.

3. Skill in management and administrative experience – schedule management, cost tracking, and change management are key requirements.

4. Skill in written and oral communication.

5. Proven leadership ability.

6. Computer/Software proficiency. Microsoft Office proficiency a minimum (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Primavera Scheduling preferred.

**Preferred Qualifications**

Experience working with government clients: USACE, USAF
