**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Lane Closure Technician for immediate employment in the Virginia Beach, VA office. This position will be a direct report to the TOC Floor Manager with direct multi-agency communications.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Responsible for all aspects of the Lane Closure Advisory Management System (LCAMS) program

+ Coordination with client and sub-consultants on LCAM entries

+ Verification and continuous monitoring LCAMS

+ Multi-agency communications and coordination of staging plans

+ Execution of advanced planning activities and event traffic management plans

+ Real-time status updates of planned active construction and special events

+ Facilitation and coordination of event planning meetings

+ Preparation for after action meetings and communications

+ Review and response to inquiries regarding event specific planning and correspondence

+ Documentation and maintenance of historical traffic planning management plans

+ Proactive communications with agencies involved in conflicting activities to implement resolution plan and minimize traffic impact

+ Other ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the Project Management Team

**Minimum Requirements**

+ High School Diploma and or equivalent certification

+ 4+ years of experience as a technician in Traffic Monitoring, Traffic Control systems or other technical experience in the Traffic Management industry

+ Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Virginia Department of Transportation fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)

+ Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

+ Must participate in and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment fitness for duty questionnaire

+ Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in an indoor (office) environment. Position requires often standing/walking, keyboard/mouse operations, and performing repetitive fine hand movements; occasionally climbing stairs, and working alone in isolated/remote areas; rarely operating vehicles. Position will include wearing safety glasses

+ Possess a valid Virginia Class D License and a clean driving record in the last 7 years, including no suspension of license or single violation that Virginia Motor Vehicle treats as worth 6 demerits

+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

+ Intermediate skill proficiency in the use of Windows based applications including Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Established presentation and report generation skills

+ Ability to work alternate work schedules in support of 24/7/365 operation center; Schedules are dictated by need of operation and stated in advance. Schedules will vary

+ Knowledge of two-way communication systems; radio and telecommunications experience

+ Ability to develop good peer relationships

+ Adherence to established timelines

+ Short or no notice work assignments

+ This is a self-directed role that also requires a high degree of teamwork and collaboration

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Geographic familiarity with regional freeway system and arterial roads

+ Knowledge of municipality and area traffic management organizations
