**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a Global Command and Control System – Maritime (GCCS-M) Technician to provide fleet technical and engineering support services to Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC). The candidate will provide technical assistance and/or repair/restoration of urgent mission degrading Casualty Reports (CASREPs) or other complex technical problems affecting GCCS-M and CANES systems/equipment aboard US Navy surface ships beyond the capability of ship’s force or intermediate maintenance activities (IMAs) ability to diagnose and correct. Also, to perform special engineering analyses, assessments, and studies in support of Naval Sea System Command, SPAWAR, or designated In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for the purpose of developing or evaluating improvements in design, maintainability, maintenance procedures, material support, etc.; and prepare technical reports identifying significant aspects of the problems encountered their causes, and the corrective action taken. The position will be located on the Norfolk Naval Base.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Provide onboard and remote fleet technical assistance, CASREP support, troubleshooting, repair, operational and maintenance assessment/inspection support, modernization/installation, installation and check-out, availability support and engineering technical services for GCCS-M systems including AN/USQ-119 GCCS-M 3.x; AN/USQ-172 GCCS-M 4.0, AN/USQ-187 GCCS-M 4.1.1., AN/USQ-151 Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT), AN/USQ-152 TBMCS, AN/USQ-188 Radiant Mercury, AN/USQ-208 Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), and Passive Link Tap (PLT).

2. Conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test/analysis, operation, maintenance, installation, and diagnose connectivity faults and equipment repair.

3. Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, assessment (including TSRA, C5RA, PIA, ICMP, INSURV, grooms), and logistics.

4. Report findings/discrepancies in TAAS-Info, Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs), written/electronic Technical Assistance Visit Report (TAVR) or de-brief at completion of shipboard tasks.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required

+ U.S. Navy rating “A” school and applicable system “C” school and NECs for GCCS-M/CANES systems/equipment or equivalent formal classroom training or on-the-job training

+ Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience gained with the last 8 years in the troubleshooting, assessment and repair of the following systems: AN/USQ-119 GCCS-M 3.x; AN/USQ-172 GCCS-M 4.0; and AN/USQ-187 GCCS-M 4.1.1.

+ Minimum of six (6) years in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair installation, and testing of combat or C4I systems and equipment.

+ A minimum of three (3) years full time hands-on technician experience in last 5 years in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, repair, and/or modification of shipboard Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.

+ Must be able to operate required electronic support and test equipment

+ Capable of using and reading technical operation and maintenance documentation and manuals, blueprints, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and data tables

+ Ability to utilize computers, and a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc., to compile information for reports and programmatic files, etc.

+ Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally

+ Be able to lift 40 lbs

+ Must have active SECRET security clearance

+ Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor or Associates of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics Technology, or other technical field is a plus

+ Experience in the troubleshooting, repair, and assessment on the following systems/equipment is a plus (experience may be concurrent): AN/USQ-151 Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT); AN/USQ-152 TBMCS; AN/USQ-188 Radiant Mercury; AN/USQ-208 Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES); and Passive Link Tap (PLT)

+ Experience gained at Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA), or another Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), or a Mobile Training Unit ( MOTU), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Alteration Installation Team (AIT), or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in the design/development, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, or testing of GCCS-M, CANES, or Shipboard Network System related systems/equipment is a plus
