**Job Summary**

AECOM is hiring a Radar Systems Engineer at the Fallon Tactical Training Range, home to the Navy's premier "Top Gun" warfighter school, located in Northern Nevada. The Fallon Radar Engineer supports subsystem re-design and replacement and advanced troubleshooting of equipment and systems at specified electronic warfare & integrated air defense sites on FTTR.

Experience in Reverse-Engineering Radar Systems components, identify and document specifications to have replacements built to meet form, fit, and function of the components.

Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies. Develop and apply advanced methods, and analytical techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and difficult system design requirements and problems. Conduct independent investigations of considerable complexity. Provide technical consultation to Operations and Maintenance, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Communications, or customers. Serve as a Principle Engineer and individual contributor to assigned tasks, development, integration, and sustainment projects. Plans, conducts, and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects requiring the expert application of advanced knowledge. Direct interface for project management activity to other team members and customer at all levels from task initiation to final design including requirements identification, design reviews, test activities, and technical meetings. Maintain technical project responsibility for assigned tasks and advise management of progress in support of the technical and administrative elements throughout lifecycle of engineering process. Conduct site visits and investigations; analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations. Acts as and is recognized as the Contractor expert resource on complex engineering problems. Support development of technical initiatives and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work. Review change requests and subsequent completion and implementation of systems additions and/or enhancements and recommends corrections based on technical application and analysis.

Supports the Configuration Management (CM) program to include the evaluation and monitoring of all modifications to CTTR equipment or facilities, the generation of change requests to improve interoperability/reliability/maintainability, and ensures that applicable CM standards are adhered to.

Develops documentation to include, but not limited to, electronic schematics, interconnect, infrastructure, systems drawings and diagrams using Visio or AutoCAD

Support technical personnel in advanced troubleshooting to include engineering actions necessary to return equipment/systems to operational status. Assist in the mentoring and technical training of technicians through failure analysis and problem solving techniques to sustain systems.

Use superior communications skills, both verbal and written, in day-to-day support activities. Develop, interpret, and implement technical and administrative policies and procedures. Perform other related duties and assignments as directed.

**Minimum Requirements**

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Five years technical experience with Range systems (or equivalent military systems).

Five years engineering or maintenance experience with radar systems (i.e. military fielded systems of U.S. and foreign origin).

Five years experience with increasing levels of responsibility in complex electronic systems.

Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Possess a valid state Driver’s License.

**Preferred Qualifications**

Formal training in the field of electronic equipment design, maintenance, and equipment manufacturer training. Operating experience with search, acquisition, ground control intercept, height finder or fire control radar systems, and familiarity with the employment of threat systems. Troubleshoot to component level, I.E. to passive and active device level to include, resistors, capacitors, switches, and semiconductor devices.

Experience with the following

+ Digital/analog signal processing

+ Synchro/Resolver-servo circuits

+ Radar, RF signal processing

+ Electromechanical devices

+ Video signal processing and recording

+ Digital/analog computer systems

+ DC power supplies; low voltage AC equipment; primary and secondary power equipment; auto-transfer (UPS) equipment; portable AC generators

+ Test equipment

+ Electronic Design tools, such as Lab View, Multisim, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
