Gensler is known as the global design firm that redefines what is possible through the power of design. Our firm is currently seeking a intermediate to advanced level Interior Designer with corporate interiors experience to join our Tokyo office.

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Involvement in all phases of the design process including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and knowledge of construction administration
  • Development of space plans, pricing plans, FF&E selection, and specifications of products and materials
  • Design charettes and field verifications resolves design issues and analyses design options
  • Strong leadership and close collaboration with design team, clients, consultants, contractors and vendors, and
  • Meeting deadlines for design deliverables

 

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • 10+ years design experience in workplace interiors
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited school of design or architecture
  • Fluent in English verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Strong AutoCAD skills, Revit experience or Revit training preferred
  • Proficiency with SketchUp is a plus.
  • Interior Design licensing and LEED accreditation a plus
