**Job Summary**

The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil/Mechanical CAD Designer for immediate employment in the Kelowna, BC office. The appropriately qualified candidate will have an understanding of civil/mechanical engineering technology, CAD, and have proven experience in the design of municipal infrastructure. They will be expected to work within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Design for municipal infrastructure including pump stations, water and wastewater treatment plants using Revit and AutoCAD

+ Ensuring overall data quality and integrity

+ Prepare process mechanical detailed design drawings

+ Prepare documentation for design projects and reports

+ Undertake quality control procedures

+ Assures that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager for action and follows up to assure timeliness of resolution efforts

+ Support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers primarily within the municipal water, wastewater and stormwater sector

**Minimum Requirements**

+ 2+ years of related experience in municipal process mechanical drafting and CAD/BIM

+ Experience working with REVIT 2014 and AutoCAD Version 14

+ Proficient with MS Office Suite

+ Excellent attention to detail

+ Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients

+ Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment

+ High level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 3+ years of related experience in municipal process mechanical drafting and CAD/BIM

+ Diploma / Certificate in Revit BIM CAD drafting (or equivalent)

+ Certified or eligible for certification in AScT as a member of the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of British Columbia

+ Comfortable using many of Revit’s capabilities such as:

+ Structural, architectural, and MEP modelling tools

+ Central and Local Files

+ Worksets

+ Design Options

+ Phasing

+ Shared Parameters

+ Family modification and creation.

+ Template and filter creation

+ Experience using Autodesk Navisworks 2014 or higher for project clash detection, and coordination

+ Working knowledge of AutoDesk Civil 3D would be an additional asset.

+ Good time management skills

+ Construction inspection experience
